Profile of the Chiropractors
Dr. Dale H. Powers was born and raised in California. Dr. Powers grandmother, Hazel D. Clark resided in the Auburn area and attended Auburn High School (now Placer High School) in the late 1890’s.
Dr. Powers graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1968 with honors. After graduating from San Diego State University in 1973 with honors and a B.S. in Biology/Radiation Physics, Dr. Powers attended graduate school while working for the Naval Undersea Center (NUC) researching with Tursiops Truncatus (Flipper, or Bottlenose Dolphin).
This work led Dr. Powers to a research job with the National Marine Fisheries Service (La Jolla, CA) working with other scientists to establish the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1974. While working with the NMFS, Dr. Powers traveled to South America (Costa Rica, Peru – Machu Pichu). Then, before embarking on his career to become a Chiropractor, Dr. Powers traveled to the Philippines and lived on a remote jungle island for four months. Dr. Powers graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic (West) in October of 1981 with the distinction of Valedictorian.
Dr. Powers studied with Dr. George Goodheart, D.C. (founder of Applied Kinesiology) and Dr. Thie, D.C. (founder of Touch for Health) in 1976, learning a non-force approach to balance and heal the body. Dr. Powers continued his journey studying with Major B. Dejarnette, D.C., D.O., from 1979 through 1988, learning Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT) to include craniopathy as taught by an Osteopath, soft tissue orthopedics (working with the viscera (organs) and their reflexes) and extremity adjusting. Dr. Powers studied Applied Kinesiology, Diversified adjusting, Upper Cervical (Grostic), Pettibone, BEST (BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique), Motion Palpation and achieved status as a Certified Sports Team Physician in 1985.
Dr. Powers studied Neural Emotional Technique (NET) in the late 80’s. A method that assists in releasing emotional patterns that effect our viscera and leads to chronic subluxations patterns. In 1990, Dr. Powers began studying Network Spinal Analysis. Everything Dr. Powers studied prior led to a “WOW” when incorporating the work of Dr. Donald Epstein, D.C., founder of Network Spinal Analysis. Dr. Powers, through studying with the masters of Chiropractic, developed a unique eclectic awareness of how to assist patients utilizing the best of Chiropractic with the benefit of this knowledge transferred to you the patient and your healing.
